Victorian Dinner Gong

£480.00

A striking Victorian dinner gong in a large English Oak frame, with beaten bronze gong and original hammer dating between 1880-1900. This gong will never cease to be enjoyed, not only is it a very good looking antique but the sound of the gong is terrific, do listen to our video! The gong hangs from the top frame and is held in place by a two hole fixing. This ensures the gong doesn’t “spin” as it would with a one hole fitting. The frame is solid English oak and is a substantial size and weight, please see below for measurements. The hammer for striking the gong appears to be original with a bit of wear commensurate to age and careful use, and sits on a ledge at the front of the frame. This will country house dinner gong will look stunning in any setting, hall, bar, restaurant or, of course, dining room. Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity, once it’s gong, it’s gong!

Measurements: all measurements are approx.
